LightShare partners with both rural and urban communities that are underserved. “Underserved” can mean that a neighborhood doesn’t have a safe place for children after school. “Underserved” can mean that families cannot access local services in town due to lack of transportation. “Underserved” can mean that a community has the resources and assets to support families but simply needs a guiding light to support community connections. LightShare strongly believes that by working with and in a community and by listening to the priorities and concerns of its residents that services can be built on existing community strengths.
